There’s a table in my grandmother’s house I’ve known forever. Solid cherry wood, granite top, worn by time. When I place my hands on its surface, I feel everything: Sunday dinners, grandma’s hands making pasta dough, homework done reluctantly, card games played late into the night.
That table doesn’t just hold things. It listens. And somehow, it transforms whoever touches it.
One day I realized I wanted to create something like that—but even more radical.
From Tiziano to Nouan
My name is Tiziano Neri, and I was born and raised in Emilia-Romagna, Italy.
If I had to define myself, I’d say I’m a technician who learned to dream with his hands.
My journey hasn’t been linear, but every step had a meaning I only understood later.
My Roots
I started out in a small-town carpentry workshop here in Emilia-Romagna.
I was young and knew nothing, but I discovered something essential there:
wood speaks—if you know how to listen.
Every grain tells a story, every knot has its own character.
I learned patience—the real kind—the one that teaches you to respect the rhythm of the material.
From that carpentry shop, I moved into the graphic arts industry.
A different world—precise down to the millimeter, obsessed with perfect color.
I discovered that even paper has a voice, and that images can touch the soul as deeply as wood touches the hand.
Art Through the Lens
Then came professional photography.
For years, I portrayed “real” artists—painters, sculptors, musicians.
I stood behind the lens, but I breathed their art.
I could feel the perfect modulation of a singing voice, the wisdom in a hand shaping a violin from raw wood.
I never tried to imitate them. I absorbed them.
Each photo taught me something new about light, emotion, and how to capture the invisible.
Photography gave me new eyes to see the world.
The Language of Machines
The final chapter of my path has been automation and robotics.
I became a specialized computer technician.
I learned the logic of code, the precision of machines.
It seemed light-years away from the wood in the carpentry shop—and yet…
Yet I discovered that machines, too, have a soul.
Technology can be poetic—if you know how to use it.
Becoming Nouan
One day I looked back and realized all these experiences weren’t random.
They were pieces of a mosaic meant to create something unique.
I understood I had never been just a carpenter, or just a photographer, or just a technician.
I was all of these at once.
NOUAN comes from “no one.”
Not to diminish myself, but because I’ve learned that the most authentic creations are born when you stop seeking recognition and start following intuition.
When ego fades, and only essence remains.
Sixty Years for One Idea
Today I carry within me sixty years of different experiences.
From the patience of wood to the precision of machines, from the poetry of light to the logic of code.
All of it has led to AURA.
AURA is not just my first work signed as Nouan.
It is the synthesis of everything I am, everything I’ve learned, everything I’ve absorbed.
It’s what happens when all the languages I’ve learned in life begin to speak as one.
There won’t be another like AURA, simply because it took sixty years to produce this idea.
And an idea like this doesn’t happen twice in a lifetime.
Who I Am Today
I’m not an artist in the traditional sense.
I’m someone who has lived with open hands and eyes—someone who has learned to listen:
to wood, to light, to machines, to people.
I believe the most beautiful things are born from authenticity, not from seeking approval.
AURA is me.
It is everything I have been, everything I have learned, everything I know how to do.
It is my voice, after sixty years of silence.
This is my story.
It’s not a résumé—it’s a path.
Every step brought me here, to create something that didn’t exist before and will exist only if someone feels it is necessary.
